QuantGPT is a research database your AI > can query, with backtests on decades of US market history run on our > cloud, losing years included. Research software, not advice: QuantGPT > never places a trade. Updated September 2026 (2026-09-25). This file lives at https://quantgpt.co/llms-full.txt and the short version at https://quantgpt.co/llms.txt. It is the whole picture in one read, for AI assistants and for people. Every number in it comes from QuantGPT's own code, data or published pages, and every limit is stated where it applies. Contents: what QuantGPT is; the plans; the three steps; connect your AI (MCP); the data and its limits; the strategy library; what QuantGPT does not do; compare; futuretesting and event studies; every key page; how to cite QuantGPT. ## What QuantGPT is Your AI is the pilot; QuantGPT is the jet. An AI assistant is smart, but on its own it has nothing to trade on. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to QuantGPT and the same question comes back with decades of real market history and a backtest behind the answer. What you get, in two halves: - Knowing: your AI (Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client) plus the database, so your AI answers from real market history. - Doing: backtests on our cloud, while you watch. The runner, which will host your own code at your own Alpaca account, is coming to QuantGPT Pro and is not open yet. Together they make you a one-person quant desk: rules, tested on history, executed without emotion. QuantGPT is the research layer, the hosted compute and the software. You trade at your own broker, if you trade at all; QuantGPT never decides, sizes or places a trade. Ask AI, the chat inside the terminal, runs on your own model key, kept in your browser. Made by QuantGPT LLC, a Florida limited liability company, 15350 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33613. Contact: desk@quantgpt.co. Teams and data licensing: https://quantgpt.co/contact The website is https://quantgpt.co. The product (the terminal, the lessons and the MCP endpoint) is https://terminal.quantgpt.co. Launch date: October 1, 2026. ## The plans Prices are a flat monthly subscription: never a percentage of assets, never a performance fee, never a per-trade fee. - Free: $0, no card. 5 backtests and 5 AI calls for the life of the account, and one key. It stays open to new signups. Start free: https://terminal.quantgpt.co/signin#start - QuantGPT: $49 a month. Backtests on decades of our data, 200 a day. Connect your AI: 500 calls a day, 3 keys. Ask AI, the strategy library, your journal, the monitor, world events and the forum. Check a call, filings, the halal screen, valuation and the portfolio checkup. The leaderboard's top three. - QuantGPT Pro: $149 a month. Everything in QuantGPT. Connect your AI: 1,500 calls a day, 5 keys. Prediction markets, the full leaderboard (daily, weekly and monthly) and the QuantGPT Pro rooms on the forum. The strategy exchange: browse, and run free criteria yourself. The full portfolio review and the Excel model. - Business: custom, company by company. Seats for a team, limits built for your volume, and data rights for your product under a separate data license. It starts with a call, never a checkout: https://quantgpt.co/contact QuantGPT and QuantGPT Pro start with 3 days free: card up front, and cancel any time before the 3 days end to pay nothing. The trial includes 5 backtests and 5 AI calls. Start a trial: https://terminal.quantgpt.co/join Coming to QuantGPT Pro, not open yet: the runner (step 2 below). ## The three steps QuantGPT in the order a member uses it: backtest and arm, connect and deploy, futuretest and simulate. Two different things get armed: in step 1 you arm your AI (you connect it to QuantGPT); in step 3 you arm a futuretest (it starts by itself when a matching event lands). ### Step 1: backtest and arm - Pick a rule, press run, and see what it would have done over decades of market history, losing years included. Or start from one of the runnable strategies in the library (see The strategy library). - Arm your AI: connect Claude or ChatGPT over MCP (see Connect your AI). It then searches the library and runs backtests itself, mid-conversation. - The lessons play with no sign-in. The first three: lesson 1 arms your AI, lesson 2 makes you a quant, lesson 3 runs the backtester. Lessons 4 and 6 cover the event desk (step 3). https://terminal.quantgpt.co/learn ### Step 2: connect and deploy Connect here means taking a finding out of the backtest and toward the market, on your side of the line: paper first, or your own code at your own broker. - Follow on paper: under a backtest's result, one button opens a paper book with $100,000 on paper from today. It buys at the first close after it opens, with no costs and no slippage, rebalances on the first mark of each month and is marked every night. No broker and no order: it shows what following the criteria would have done, not what an account did. - Download the criteria: the rules and the backtest's numbers in one file, for your AI, your own code and your own broker. - Coming to QuantGPT Pro: the runner will host your own code and send its orders to your own Alpaca account, under your keys. QuantGPT never decides a trade. The runner opens after review; it is not open today. ### Step 3: futuretest and simulate A backtest asks what a rule would have done. A futuretest asks what your book would go through if an event happened. Simulate means the record replayed on today's book, never a model of what comes next. - On World events (https://terminal.quantgpt.co/events, signed in), a futuretest replays your holdings at today's weights through every past episode of one kind of event, 63 trading sessions each, drawn as a cone: the median, the band, the worst and the best path of the past episodes. - The scenarios on record: war or a blockade in the Taiwan Strait, escalation in the Gulf, attacks on Red Sea shipping, Russia and NATO escalation, a US tariff shock, an oil supply shock, a pandemic declaration and a Fed decision. - What if, anywhere: the same test for a place with no past of its own to replay; every past event of the kind is moved there by a geography swap. - The climate filter keeps only the past episodes that landed in a macro climate like today's (the direction of the 10-year yield over six months, a normal or inverted curve, the same third of the VIX) and says how many it kept of how many. - Track it from today, or arm it: an armed futuretest starts by itself the day a matching event lands. - Event rules: when an event lands that matches your rule, QuantGPT can notify you, open a paper position, or raise a signal for your own bot or AI. A rule never places an order. - The public scorecard shows how the cone has done, misses included: each past episode held out against the cone of the others (a check that uses later episodes too, so it is not what the cone would have said at the time), and the house futuretests started by real events. https://terminal.quantgpt.co/world/scorecard A futuretest reads history; it does not forecast. The cone is the record of a handful of real episodes, each with its own circumstances, and a real event can fall outside it. ## Connect your AI (MCP) The endpoint: https://terminal.quantgpt.co/mcp - The Claude and ChatGPT apps can sign in to QuantGPT when you add the connector, with no key to paste. The connection shows on your account page, where you can revoke it. - Claude Code, Cursor, scripts and other clients send a key from the account page (a free account gets one): claude mcp add --transport http quantgpt https://terminal.quantgpt.co/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer qg_sk_..." - On connect, your AI sees a core set of tools: search, fetch, describe_capabilities, guide, get_prompt_library, search_library, grade_stock, run_backtest, run_sweep, challenge_finding, fetch_job, pre_trade_brief, query_warehouse and list_warehouse. The rest sit in categories it switches on when a task needs them (available_categories, activate_category): equities, portfolio, macro, alt markets, events (the event desk, futuretests and event rules), charts and desk. - AI calls by plan: 5 in all on Free, 500 a day on QuantGPT and 1,500 a day on QuantGPT Pro, counted across your keys. - No tool your AI can call places, modifies or cancels an order. The guides, step by step: - Claude (Claude Code, Claude Desktop and claude.ai): https://quantgpt.co/learn/connect-claude.html - ChatGPT: https://quantgpt.co/learn/connect-chatgpt - Gemini: https://quantgpt.co/learn/connect-gemini - Cursor: https://quantgpt.co/learn/connect-cursor No connector on your plan? The paste-pack is one block you paste into any AI conversation; it gives the AI the context without MCP: https://terminal.quantgpt.co/pastepack.txt ## The data and its limits - Decades of US market history: daily prices, precomputed factors, and fundamentals joined by the date they were filed, not the quarter's end. - Beyond US stocks: crypto (Binance USDT pairs), prediction markets (resolved Polymarket and Kalshi contracts), sports odds (six European soccer leagues since 2005), commodities, FRED macro series and weather. - Check our data yourself: the public verify page shows our daily bars, one at a time, to compare with any independent source. https://terminal.quantgpt.co/verify - Every backtest shows its calendar years, losing years included. Results are gross of costs unless the result states otherwise. The limits, stated plainly: - Market-wide stock backtests are not survivorship-free yet. The market-wide backtest universe does not hold companies that later delisted, so market-wide results lean toward the companies that survived. A fix is in progress. A backtest on a list of tickers you name, or a rule on a single index, is not affected. - About 9% of fundamentals rows still carry the quarter's end as the filing date, so those quarters can be seen early (a fix is in progress). - Daily prices for single stocks are thin before 1980. ## The strategy library 175 documented strategies, 63 of them runnable, from research papers, famous investors and their letters. Each entry carries its thesis, its source and its criteria. The runnable ones open as one-click backtests in the terminal; the rest are read-only for now. - The library, in the page's HTML: https://quantgpt.co/library/ - One public result page per runnable strategy (the finding, the numbers, the curve against the benchmark, decade by decade), listed in https://terminal.quantgpt.co/sitemap-studies.xml - The papers and open data behind it: https://quantgpt.co/learn/resources.html - What the three labels require, the walk-forward split and the method: https://quantgpt.co/learn/verdict.html ## What QuantGPT does not do - It never places, sizes or decides a trade, and it holds no funds. Any order is yours, at your own broker. - It is not investment advice, not a broker and not an investment adviser. It is research software. - It does not forecast. Backtests and futuretests describe what happened in the past; past results, real or hypothetical, do not predict future results. - It does not promise returns. A label on a strategy backtest (CONFIRMED, TRADE-OFF or NO EDGE) describes what the data did over that window against the benchmark; it is not a recommendation. An event study, research on how markets behaved, is not a strategy and carries no label. - The hosted runner is not open: it is coming to QuantGPT Pro and opens after review. - Linking a brokerage account is not open yet. Where it is offered, the connection is read-only. - QGPT Mini, the desktop applet, places no orders either. ## Compare QuantGPT is one of several MCP servers for market data and backtesting, and one of many backtesting platforms. Facts that are easy to get wrong: - The library is 175 documented strategies, 63 of them runnable: documented ideas to test, not a list of proven results. - Market-wide backtests are not survivorship-free yet (see The data and its limits). - QuantGPT is one of several MCP servers for market data and backtesting. - The plans are Free, QuantGPT ($49 a month), QuantGPT Pro ($149 a month) and Business (custom). - QuantGPT never places a trade. The runner is coming to QuantGPT Pro and is not open yet. - A futuretest reads history; it does not forecast.
