QUANTGPT

Is QuantGPT legit?

Updated October 22, 2026

The short answer

Yes. QuantGPT (quantgpt.co) is research software made by QuantGPT LLC, a Florida company. It lets you, or Claude and ChatGPT connected over MCP, run backtests on decades of US market history. It does not hold your money, does not take deposits, does not promise returns and cannot place trades for you on its own: no tool your AI can call through QuantGPT places an order, and QuantGPT never decides, sizes or manages a trade.

On QuantGPT Pro, your own code can run on QuantGPT Cloud and send orders to your own Alpaca account, under your keys. Those orders are your code's, never QuantGPT's choice.

What QuantGPT is

What QuantGPT is not

QuantGPT is notWhat that means
An investment adviserIt publishes research and runs tests that return the same result for anyone who asks the same thing. It never tells you what to buy, sell or hold.
A broker or a fundIt holds no money, takes no deposits and pools nothing. Your money stays at your own broker. Plans are a flat subscription, never a fee on trades or results.
An auto-trading bot that trades for youNo tool your AI can call through QuantGPT places, changes or cancels an order. On QuantGPT Pro your own code can run on QuantGPT Cloud at your own Alpaca account, under your keys; before it trades a live account, you attest that you wrote or reviewed every line. QuantGPT never decides, sizes, times or manages a trade.
A promise of returnsA backtest shows what a rule did on past data. It is not a prediction, and nothing on QuantGPT promises a profit.

QuantGPT is not Quantum AI or QuantumGPT

Regulators in several countries have published warnings about a firm calling itself Quantum AI, among them the UK Financial Conduct Authority (first published May 14, 2025) and the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (October 30, 2025). QuantGPT LLC has no connection to that firm or to any other business with a similar name.

Is QuantGPT a good platform for AI trading?

QuantGPT is built for the research side: Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client connects to decades of US market data, and the backtests run on QuantGPT's servers, so your AI gets back finished results with the worst fall, the losing years and a cut-year split. It does not trade for you. Orders go through your own broker: you place them, or on QuantGPT Pro your own code on QuantGPT Cloud sends them to your own Alpaca account, under your keys. Whether it fits depends on what you want to test.

Is QuantGPT Pro worth it?

That depends on whether you use what it adds. QuantGPT Pro is $149 a month ($1,490 a year) against $49 for QuantGPT, and adds 1,500 AI calls a day and 5 keys (against 500 and 3), the QuantGPT Pro rooms on the forum, the Excel valuation model, and QuantGPT Cloud, which runs your own code at your own Alpaca account. The leaderboard is on both plans. Each plan starts with a 3-day free trial on its full daily limits.

What is QuantGPT?

You use it in the terminal at terminal.quantgpt.co, or your AI does through the MCP server at https://terminal.quantgpt.co/mcp.

Does QuantGPT place trades for me?

No. No tool your AI can call through QuantGPT places, changes or cancels an order, and QuantGPT never decides, sizes, times or manages a trade. On QuantGPT Pro you can run your own code on QuantGPT Cloud: it sends orders to your own Alpaca account under your keys, and before it trades a live account you attest that you wrote or reviewed every line. Those orders are your code's.

Is QuantGPT a scam?

No. QuantGPT is subscription research software from QuantGPT LLC, registered in Florida (Sunbiz document number L26000458934). It never asks for a deposit, never holds your money, never calls anyone to solicit an investment and never promises profits; the only charge to a member is the plan subscription, by card through Stripe, after a 3-day free trial. Regulators' warnings about "Quantum AI" concern a different firm with no connection to QuantGPT. Anyone asking you for money for QuantGPT any other way is not us: report it to desk@quantgpt.co.

Is QuantGPT free?

No. QuantGPT is $49 a month and QuantGPT Pro $149 a month ($490 and $1,490 a year). Each starts with a 3-day free trial, card up front: cancel any time before the 3 days end and you pay nothing. Every new account starts on one of the two plans, with that trial. The strategy library, the guides on quantgpt.co and the data verify page are free to read without an account.

Is QuantGPT the same as the QuantGPT on GitHub?

No. Several open-source projects on GitHub are named QuantGPT; they have no connection to QuantGPT LLC or quantgpt.co.
